Class party but food non-halal so I happily skip.
Ola Podrida. Happy yet so sad. Contradictory sounds. Makes you want to stone.
Saying sorry never fixes anything. Unless you accidentally banged into someone on the streets, you turn around and hurriedly say sorry, smile, turn back and keep rushing to wherever you were rushing to. People appreciate sorries like that.
But if you've done something big that you can't undo or can't do anything to reverse it, saying sorry just makes you feel like a big loot. A bloot. You may feel it, the other party may know you're genuine but will it reverse what's been done? No.
So yea, Elton John might think it's the hardest word but I think it's the easiest one to say. "I'm sorry". Easiest one to mean as well. But the worst most useless one when you wanna undo the wrong you've done.
Of course, at times, all the other party wants to know is that you feel sorry, that you know you've done wrong and that you mean your sorry and that's all it might take for them to forgive and forget about what you've done but with the big BIGGER stuff, that's not how it works.
Like they say and like we all know, scars fade but don't disappear.
You can say sorry for so many years but it's not gonna reverse time and undo what you've done. It really becomes a meaningless word in times like these. And sometimes that's all you can say. Over and over again, you might be saying it to try and make yourself feel better but the other party still feels like you're the worst crap ever to be.
In times like these, there's nothing you can do. Just hope and pray next time, you won't be so foolish enough to do stupid things again.
In other news, it's a lovely day today. Chilly windy winds in your bones while the sun sunny sunshine slaps you lovingly on your burnt face. How not to smile?
How not to smile? Glad to be the only one who knows how.
