Ode To Ye Olde Good Life.

I feel like a useless bum.
And good it feels.
Like watching the sun reflect off the leaves of the trees
Outside burning in the heat.
And the mouldy paint on Vista buildings
Cracked and flapping open in the wind.
A stray bird flies past.
Two unbroken lines of cars by the road
Students who walk too much.
The pool table. And the foosball.
Red and green and white.
An unforgotten dream. A memory.
Trying to remember yet wanting to forget.
Yearning for the times of old
And the good lifes we used to have
Wondering how everything got so meddled up.
Wondering if this is rock-bottom
Or if God can go deeper.
Enjoying simple sweet comforts
Like frozen fruits
And lime juice on a sunny day.
Much like this one
When the sun reflects off the green.
Leaves of the trees swaying in the breeze.
A bum it is good to be.
