The beach was the best. The water was sooo clear you could see the fishies swimming through it. Too bad we didn't have much time to enjoy it. They scheduled snorkelling for us in the mornings and afternoons and on the first night, we joined the Squid Jigging competition!! Also known as Candat Sotong. Apparently a popular sport in these waters and is seasonal.
Needless to say, I caught no sotong. Spent 5-6hrs at sea and I caught none. A few tugged at my bait but I pulled it up too fast so it let go. I caught a few tentacles tho. Haha. Lousy candater = me.
As I type this, a monkey easily walks across the thin telephone cable outside and rests his butt on it, prolly enjoying the wind. Ahhh.. life.
Anyhoo, Van as usual got too carried away and forgot where she left her slippers till I found them near the dinner area. EeLynn vomited on the boat during the candat sotong expedition (and caught no sotong either). Cherie the berrie blew kisses at Ee Lynn as she was ready-ing herself for the bathroom. Sidney better be careful.
Khai Yong was being the alpha-male the whole way through. He slathers sunblock lotion on his face till it's white. Hansel brought a whole bunch of medicines for the trip: Novomin, anti-histamines, diarrhoea medicine, gastric medicine, Salbutamol inhaler. A true pharmacist at heart. IMU Cares: Even on holidays.
Kah Wei cannot be trusted to jaga three girls who don't know how to swim during snorkelling. Minus 50 marks for him. His value go down dee. Haha. He's extremely blur in the morning too. And he is DuraBoy by day, Knight Rider by night!!
By golly, I miss Redang already. Let's go again after Sem5 and join the Candat Sotong competition again! We must practise and live up to our Candat King nicknames! And if we're lucky, try to bag the Longest Squid prize. =P
Will be in Kuching from the 17th to 25th. Don't let me get bored, Van and Cherie! And Aaron! And Rinoa! And Ee Yan! Hahah!
I have a feeling all Aaron brought back to Kuching was a pair of underwear and a fresh tshirt. And maybe a toothbrush. He wrapped it all up in a small red checkered handkerchief and tied it to a long stick, slung it over his shoulder and boarded the plane back home. There's a LOT of boxes man. And they're heavy. Oh well. *think Damai Damai Damai Damai....*
Well, here's to the Sem3 that has just ended. It was like a flash of light before my eyes. Gone before I really knew it was there. Sem1 Medics are cool. Too bad the Pharm n Medic semesters don't coincide well. We won't be hanging around as much as we would want to. Heheh. And I'm damn worried bout IMU Cup foosball. Can Pharmacy bag the first again??? Will Darren's batch be a HUGE threat just like last year???!! What if we get tapau-ed by the M2/06 batch just like Darren's batch got tapau-ed by the M2/05?? *gasp* Worry worry...
In other happy and worldly news, I'll be having rendang for dinner today. A nice change from the mundane canteen food in IMU. Haha.
Toodles for now! Gonna play some games. =)
