RC Cars

A good friend of mine recently introduced me to RC Cars Tips and Tricks. He's a very avid fan of radio controlled (RC) cars and he likes purchasing them and racing them. He even has his own collection of them with lots of different variety, etc. He says he goes to this blog a lot for their helpful information and he gets lots of advice from it. The author of the blog Igor Presnukhin is an RC Nitro Buggy champion and he shares lots of his own tips and hints about RC cars and racing. I went through the site and it was pretty interesting so I thought I'd share it with you guys!

Even if you're just new to RC cars but gaining an interest, this site has an awesome guide for beginners which you guys should check out! Go through the posts and get familiar with the site! You could definitely learn something new from it!

RBS 6 Nations

The RBS 6 Nations is a rugby competition involving 6 European nations namely Scotland, England, France, Ireland, Italy and Wales. Up till 15 minutes ago, I never knew it even existed. But that's okay. I suppose they need some competitions in rugby as with all sports.

RBS is the sponsor of the competition and on the official website, you can view a rugby podcast among other things such as scores and tables, TV schedules, etc. Basically everything you would need to follow the competition as it progresses.

Reminds me of the World Cup days. Those were so exciting and such nail-biters too! Shall never forget the days 3 girls would stay up till 5am in the IMU student lounge just to watch matches from the first round. Those were such carefree good times.

Oh and while Wiki-ing the RBS 6 Nations competition, I found out that Scotland does not have an official national anthem so they commonly use Flower of Scotland and Scotland the Brave. That solves so much confusion over what's what regarding the songs the always play on the bagpipes.

Elderly homes

I have a soft spot for the elderly. When you've gone through all there is to go through in life and you're all the wiser and so frail until it feels like every step you take might just break another bone or twist another tendon, it must be so hard to take care of your own self.

I, for one, am darn insecure about who is going to take care of me when I'm really old hopefully with fully grown kids of my own and a loving husband. Hehe. One can dream, no? I think it isn't nice to chuck your parents in care homes just because they're interfering with your lives. Does the Petronas Raya ad come to mind? They've worked so hard to bring you up right and I'm pretty sure it isn't easy bringing up children, the least you could do is not ignore them when they've gone all cranky and start spilling food all over the dining table.

However, I guess sometimes the situation is such that it can't be helped and you have to place your loved one in a care home where experienced carers are able to take care of all their needs. Just remember to visit them all the time!

For those in need

For those with a negative credit rating, that is, a bad credit history, it can be hard getting approval for loans when you really need them. On top of having such bad luck, the lenders would not look too eager in lending you money for say, that house you really need or that car that you need to drive to work with because you haven't got a perfect credit rating.

Anyway, this site offers a compilation of the top bad credit offers around the net. It regularly checks the credit marketplace and compiles all those bad credit loans and credit card loans as well as auto loans which are targeted towards those with a negative credit rating. They also offer credit counseling for those who want to review their credit history with a qualified expert and get tips on how to make it better.

It sounds like a good website out to help those who are in need of cash. They make it really easy for you to browse offers, compare each one with another and apply for it online as they work directly with the credit issuers.

Something different

Hmmm, my research project isn't finished but one always makes time to make a quick buck, no?

So, I'm here to talk about payday loans which I have previously blogged about sometime ago. It's essentially like any other loan but with less hassle. Basically, as long as you meet their very low requirements, they lend you some money to tide you over until you get your next paycheck.

Pretty simple and useful, really. Especially those times in between paychecks when you desperately need some cash to pay for some unexpected emergencies that can arise anytime and you're caught unawares.

Could come in handy in the future when we've started working and earning our meager salaries. Of course, there is always mum and dad and various trusting friends and acquaintances to borrow money from but where's the dignity in that?! They don't even require a credit check so it's very similar to borrowing money from a very trusting friend except you don't have to feel like you owe them a huge favour.
