When it rains, it drizzles lightly

I should prolly mention that I've given up the wait for the golden library seat and have adjusted myself to the confines of white silent area. It's this white place (the rest of the library is brown) where a pen dropping at one end escalates into a booming thunderous riot at the other end. Good acoustics lar basically.

Speaking of nature's phenomenons, it rained heavily today while I was out and about running errands for myself, getting groceries from ol' Sainsbury. It didn't come as a shocker the rain cuz I did check BBC weather forecast before I walked out but the weather looked so fine I thought I could cheat nature and get lucky.

So it poured while I was out which pushed me into impulse buying two more packs of toilet roll to add to the four we already have in our G5 corridor.

And then there was thunder. Which when I first heard, was accompanied by screams of a group of jakun angmoh girls. Lol. Needless to say, this is my first time hearing thunder and seeing that fleeting flash of lightning before me here in Glasgow where when it rains, it usually drizzles.

So anyway, the thunder and lightning reminded me so so much of KL. And the people waiting under the shades of various storefronts reminded me so so much of KL streets where people would wait for the rain to go away or wait for someone to come with a convenient car to pick them up so they won't get drenched. That's another thing about the rain here, you're usually with a jacket and you're rarely worried about getting drenched.

And I sat on a bench in Buchanan Galleries hoping the rain might subside in 10 minutes time and it reminded me of waiting in MidValley for a car to come pick me up. And I had all these bags of groceries and toilet roll around me just like when I waited with my mum in the days when I couldn't drive and other people had to come pick us up. So so nostalgic giler how things like these in Glasgow can suddenly mimic what you had back home.

I trudged home in shoes sloshed with rain water and a smile.
