Sex Crimes and the Vatican

I was watching BBC World the other day. It was this show called The World Uncovered about priests who sexually abuse children and the church with their laws to protect the perpetrators and shun the victims. Pretty disturbing.

There was this one priests who confessed to his crimes in America. He said what kind of boys he liked and what he liked to do to them that aroused him and yea, quite icky. Old man too. Maybe Van will approve. Dunno.

So anyway, apparently this child abuse thing happens in parishes all over the world and the church tries to cover them up by moving the priests from parish to parish. Then like if worse comes to worse and the priests get prosecuted or something, they bring the priests to the Vatican City where they're protected.

Also, all child sexual abuse cases get sent to Rome to be dealt with by the church. Cuz they wanna cover stuff up hah.

Is anyone else disturbed by this?
