Basic Pancake Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg; beaten slightly
  • 3/4 cups milk
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence

  • Method:

    1. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.

    2.In a separate bowl, mix egg, milk and vanilla essence then combine to flour mixture.

    3. Stir until smooth then blend in melted butter.

    4. Cook in a small pan lightly greased with butter. Very very VERY lightly greased. Use 1/4 cup batter for one pancake. Cook till their lightly browned on each side.

    5. Serve with butter, honey, jam and with a smile.

    Serves 2.


    And voila! I'm gonna make me some now!

    ive made waffles before. i suck at 'sifting' it.

    how can someone be bad at sifting flour??? you just put it in a sifter and whack the side with your hand till the flour goes down....!!!
