You know what really grinds my gears?

Semester 1 students (Medic + Pharm) who think they can go to the library and sit down and have a cozy little chat amongst themselves. And they prolly can't figure out why for the life of them, why other students (seniors) around them have their heads buried in books, reading queitly with their mouths SHUT.

I liken the atmosphere in the downstairs library area today to the atmosphere at 5pm in the canteen. Random groups of Sem1 students interspersed with the usual library furniture (seniors) and the sole source of the noise is coming from yeap, you guessed it, the Sem1 tables. That really grinds my gears man. Someone should really tell them, 'Hey!! In IMU,,,,, there are people who actually WANT to study in the library instead of making so much damn freaking noise!!'

Gosh. It's not a conducive studying environment anymore lor what with all the random chattering you hear all around you. Freaking seniors with important exams to study for and then the silly Sem1s come and destroy the peace. Someone should tell those noise-makers that bringing your books into the library and having a seat at a table isn't going to make you pass your bloody exams. You actually have to read your notes QUIETLY. If you SOOO need to make noise and talk, there are discussion rooms to do your business where your noise levels are somewhat muffled and yes, that's what I do with discussion rooms anyway, I go in and make noise. Hahah.

Anyhoo, I'm not talking specifically about M106 or P106, I'm talking about semester one students in general. Ben's theory is that they get so stressed up after their sem1 exams that when they return in sem2, they all shut up and do their own work quietly. Hahah. Makes sense right. First semester students are always so happy-go-lucky.

Anyhoo, here's to hoping I'll have more quiet times at the library. It's damn packed what with all the kiasu Sem4 students returning from hols. Darren was seen studying in the library on his second day of Sem4. Buthenagain, EeYan started studying on the first day of his sem4. Oh well. The further you go in IMU, the more serious you get about your studies. Heh.

Oh and I forgot to mention that not all of semester one students are noisy. Of course you get your typical kiasu fella studying every damn book in the library from week one of his/her course and is super studious. Walau, damn scary!
